Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in McLean, VA is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to ensure a Class A office building runs at peak performance. You will perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance tasks while delivering exceptional client service within a collaborative team.

The role requires 1+ year of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, own basic tools, and strong English communication. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license required.
• At least 1 year of professional building repair, maintenance, basic plumbing and basic electrical work.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude to diagnose/building issues safely.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and use ladders up to 28 ft.
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken.
• Provide your own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general interior maintenance tasks (repair office furniture, hanging pictures, install keyboard trays).
• Maintain lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts as needed.
• Assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of facility equipment and systems.
• Execute minor plumbing repairs and tasks like painting and locksmith work.
• Move furniture and equipment safely; conduct facility inspections and safety walks.
