EMCOR Government Services has an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic in Washington, DC. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

The role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing building systems across facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management. Candidates should have a High School Diploma with 4 years of maintenance experience and must obtain a GSA Public Trust Clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 4 years of building maintenance experience.
• Employee is responsible for complying with all life safety and OSHA requirements.
• Must have a CFC Universal.
• Must be able to acquire a GSA Public Trust Clearance (HSPD-12)

Responsabilités

• Responsible for performing efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems.
• Building systems include HVAC, water treatment, electrical, lighting, plumbing, energy management, fire protection, structural, hardware.
• Develops skills in installing, fabrication, constructing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Receives work assignments, plans work to be performed, and obtains necessary tools, equipment and materials.
• Completes paperwork in a timely manner. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and employs service procedures and techniques.
• Possesses knowledge of safe and efficient operation of all equipment, power and hand tools.
• Responsible for the care of assigned equipment and tools. Responsible for keeping shop, equipment rooms, related mechanical areas and common areas clean, organized and safe.
• Inspects all areas of the building(s) and reports deficiencies as well as suggestions for improvement
• Project a positive appearance and attitude always. Demonstrate exemplary tenant relations, team spirit, and respect of others.
• Serve on various shifts and to occasionally work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure adequate building coverage and perform necessary repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.
