Work Details

• Shift: Day (United States of America)
• Hours: 40 per week
• Salary Range: $19.00 - $28.00

Department Details

Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with an every 8th weekend on-call rotation.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repairs.
• Troubleshoot issues and accurately explain conditions and solutions.
• Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsible for light maintenance, repair, and cleaning tasks performed safely and professionally.

Job Description

• Take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas; keep tools out of reach of children.
• Possess basic mechanical knowledge; competent in using hand tools, meters, and gauges.
• Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and manuals is helpful.
• Explain conditions and troubleshoot accurately, maintaining safety, morale, and efficiency.
• Work all shifts and hours as scheduled.
• Comply with all policies and dress code; demonstrate good communication skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and ordinances required.
• Additional duties may include installation and maintenance of mechanical systems, groundskeeping, and other outside maintenance tasks.
• May require on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; trade or vocational school preferred.
• At least two years of experience in building systems preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record may be required depending on location.
