Job summary

Foster Poultry Farms is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic B on 1st shift in Demopolis, AL. You will keep production equipment safe, reliable and efficient, collaborating with supervisors and the processing team to drive continuous improvement and quality products.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, strong electrical/PLC knowledge, and the ability to read manuals. Expect a demanding environment with strong safety standards and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

Must have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
Must read and write English; ability to understand equipment manuals.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
Must have reliable transportation and HS diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read electrical and mechanical schematics and use PPE.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment with minimal downtime.
Complete work orders, parts requisitions and preventative maintenance on schedule.
Promote safety and GMP compliance within the department.
Train lower-classification mechanics and maintain organized work areas.
Maintain strong communication with all levels of staff and leadership.
