Job summary

Foster Poultry Farms in Demopolis, AL seeks a Journey Level Maintenance Mechanic to keep production equipment safe, reliable and operating at peak performance. You will work with supervisors, leads and processing teams to ensure accurate, high-quality operations and supportive teamwork.

Requirements include five years of industrial maintenance experience (food industry preferred), strong electronics/PLC understanding, welding and cutting skills, and the ability to read electrical/mechanical

Qualifications

Must be able to stand and perform maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must have five years industrial maintenance experience; preferably in food industry.
Must read and write English legibly.
Must have basic math and problem-solving skills.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

Ensure production equipment is operating safely, reliable, and optimal.
Observe equipment for continuous improvement and reliability.
Improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimal downtime.
Complete work orders, part requisitions, and preventative maintenance on time.
Promote safety and GMPs within the department.
Train lower-classification mechanics and maintain organized work areas.
Maintain good relationships with all levels and take on other duties as assigned.
