Primary Purpose

As a Maintenance Mechanic A, you will perform maintenance tasks and work orders on all facilities and equipment inside and outside the facility. You should possess advanced skills in at least one area such as electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, material handling, or welding.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment and facilities operate effectively and meet standards, codes, and regulations.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, entering work into the maintenance system.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex systems and equipment.
• Provide guidance and training to lower-level mechanics and support staff.
• Stay current with maintenance technology through training.
• Make recommendations to improve procedures, efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform work in safety, electrical, electronics, refrigeration, mechanical, welding, fire systems, and water/wastewater areas.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Certification on powered industrial equipment, if applicable.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: safety, electrical, refrigeration, material handling, mechanical, welding, fire systems, water/wastewater.
• Own tools required for the job.

Physical Requirements

• Dexterity, ability to lift up to 80 lbs., work in variable temperatures, and difficult positions.
• Work environment includes warehouse conditions with varying temperatures and conditions.

Preferred Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to read schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Supply own tools.

Salary range: $23.69 - $42.31
