Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Tyler, TX. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on large manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, ordering parts, documenting work, and coordinating with managers on maintenance schedules. Applicants should have a high school diploma and a production maintenance background.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational certificate in an appropriate field is preferred.
• Ability to take and pass internal required testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working condition.
• Identify root cause of unexpected breakdowns; repair quickly to decrease downtime.
• Record and report damaged parts and install replacements as needed.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Maintain shop areas, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance.
• Collaborate on equipment modifications and test runs.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
