Job summary

Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Maintenance Mechanic based in Reed City, Michigan. The Maintenance Mechanic supports the plant departments by responding in a timely manner to service and/or repair plant equipment.

The Reed City Plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm to 11pm) with 40 hours per week, overtime possible for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Install, maintain, trouble‑shoot, and repair industrial yogurt processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipment
• Provide technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modifications
• Perform both uptime and down time preventative maintenance in adherence to the master PM schedule
• Perform corrective maintenance work order
• Repair and maintain building utilities
