Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility. The core hours are Monday – Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; overtime may exceed these hours and may be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $27.92 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential per hour. What you’ll do:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and mechanical issues.
• Install, repair, and/or fabricate new equipment and components as needed.
• Support the Tier 1 & 2 operational processes through completion of action cards and rapid response activities.
• Support physical transformation and continuous improvement (GDP) initiatives throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Position Success Criteria:

• Ability to operate rigging equipment to include nylon straps, wire-braded straps, wire-braded chain slings, sheet stock handler, rail rack attachment and spreader bars.
• Ability to wear fall protection body harness and lanyard.
