Qualifications

• Preferred: 2+ years of machine operating experience.
• Preferred: ability to read blueprints or schematics.

• Preferred: basic computer applications.

Job description

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator I – 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The rate for this position is $24.87 per hour plus an additional $0.50 per hour shift premium. Salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What you’ll do

The Machine Operator will be required to operate sheet metal fabrication machines, read shop orders, read and understand engineering drawings, perform quality checks, and use calibration equipment such as calipers, or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.

• Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum).
• Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active‑Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics or technical manuals.
• Experience with calibration equipment such as calipers.
• Prior SAP experience.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.
