* Maintain organization's production equipment.
* Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures.
* Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, bindery equipment, etc., using hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
* Repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, or other machine shop equipment.
* Good knowledge of installation and repair of complex equipment and machinery, including lubricating and control systems and power drives.
* Ability to examine and troubleshoot to determine repairs needed, materials or parts required, and estimate repair time.
* Ability to interpret and apply requirements from technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, and other documents to determine critical dimensions and key reference points.
* Use and application of standard formulas, shop mathematics, trade theories, and industry practices for calculating materials, problem-solving, and using test equipment such as alignment scopes, micrometers, transits, vibration analyzers, etc.
* Knowledge of setting up and operating machine tools like lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders for manufacturing or re-machining parts.
* Experience supporting printing and/or bindery equipment is strongly preferred.
The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $21.10 - $26.91 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Compensation may include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or standby pay.
