Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join a stable production team in Illinois. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on high-speed production line equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting food safety and continuous improvement efforts.

The role requires a 12-hour rotating shift pattern, weekend work, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Two years of experience as a Production Line Mechanic or Technician or equivalent technical education.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in hot conditions.
Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on high-speed production line equipment, including drive systems and conveyors.
Collaborate with Electrical staff to diagnose and repair electrical issues on packaging and processing equipment.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and support food safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
Request design or fabrication of replacement parts or equipment when needed.
Lead consultations to resolve equipment issues and identify improvements.
