Job summary
Barry Callebaut seeks a Mechanic, Maintenance I to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance across manufacturing equipment. You will work within the Maintenance department, aligning with mechanical systems, pumps, gear reducers, and utility support equipment.
Shift options include rotating 12-hour or day maintenance teams. You will connect with production, reliability, and engineering teams, ensure safety and food safety standards, and contribute to continuous manufacturing
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of verifiable industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Hands-on maintenance experience with pumps, conveyors, gear reducers, bearings, and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Comply with GMPs, safety, and site procedures.
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns and restore operations safely and quickly.
- Support planned maintenance, outages, and inspections.
- Document work performed and parts used in CMMS.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas and tools.
