Electrical Automation Services in Sugar Grove, IL is seeking a dependable Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on high-speed production lines in a can manufacturing environment.

The role features a full-time schedule with rotating 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekend work, and overtime after 40 hours per week with double time after 48 hours. The team emphasizes food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Two years of experience as a Production Line Mechanic or Technician preferred.
Experience with packaging equipment or can manufacturing equipment is a plus.
Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in hot conditions.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on high-speed production line equipment.
Work with Electrical staff to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to packaging and processing equipment.
Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks safely, cost effectively, and on schedule.
Support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Request the design or fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
Lead consultations with internal resources to resolve equipment issues and identify improvements.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area, ensuring workspace and storage areas remain free from debris and clutter.
Perform other duties as assigned.
