General Mills, Hannibal, MO is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our 24/7 manufacturing team. The role supports electrical and mechanical maintenance on processing and packaging lines, with emphasis on preventing downtime and improving equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent education.
• Proven ability to use a multimeter and other electrical equipment/components.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
• English language communication in the workplace.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions.
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights with stairs, ladders, or platforms.
• Follow PPE and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial processing and packaging machinery and equipment.
• Design and layout circuits, install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and electrical components.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Provide technical support and leadership for equipment troubleshooting and modifications.
• Perform uptime and downtime preventative maintenance.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
