Job summary

General Mills, Inc. in Hannibal, MO is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support multiple production lines. You will install, repair and maintain processing and packaging equipment, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and contribute to plant-wide improvements.

This full-time role requires 12-hour rotating shifts, willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights and holidays, and a strong focus on safety and quality in a food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related education.
• Proven ability to use a multimeter and other electrical components.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
• English communication in the workplace.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial processing and packaging machinery and equipment.
• Design and layout circuits, install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and electrical components.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical support.
• Perform uptime and downtime preventive maintenance.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and training of new employees.
