General Mills, Inc. in Hannibal, MO, is seeking a Utilities Mechanic for 12-hour rotating shifts to maintain boilers, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC and wastewater systems in a high-volume food manufacturing plant.

Starting pay is $33.53/hour with progressive increases after training, plus benefits like 401(k), medical/dental/life insurance, and vacation. The role requires safety-minded, mechanically skilled individuals capable of lifting 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience recommended.
• Proficiency with multimeter and basic electrical testing.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in manufacturing environment and English communication.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment including boilers, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, wastewater systems and drains.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment using electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Complete daily wastewater sampling and monitoring, and check boiler, feedwater, and condensate chemistry as needed.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, allergen-control, foreign-material-control, and chemical-control requirements.
• Assist with safety audits, cross-functional teams, and plant-wide maintenance tasks.
