Job Description

Toft Dairy is currently looking to fill a full-time General Maintenance Technician or General Maintenance Mechanic position.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The successful candidate will work Monday-Friday, starting at 7am until approximately 4pm. This is a permanent position with a 60-day probationary period, after which pay increases are possible based on performance. Benefits include medical insurance (Medical Mutual), supplemental vision and dental insurance through Principal and/or AFLAC after 90 days, and a 401K retirement plan with company match after 6 months.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

1. Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment, including troubleshooting and repairs.
2. Read and interpret manuals and technical documents.
3. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the workplace.
4. Operate equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic platforms as needed.
5. Support additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Experience in food manufacturing or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
3. Knowledge of refrigeration is a plus.
4. Strong math, reading, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks.
7. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and work in wet or cold environments, including freezer areas.
8. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
