Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Newark, DE DC. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and conveyance systems, with emphasis on PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Strong safety discipline and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience and hold an Associate's degree or technical certificate. On-site work with a shift pattern and collaboration with vendors is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent; technical certificate preferred in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a DC or manufacturing setting.
• Proficient with hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software and ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and conveyance systems; document PM work.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and on time.
• Take on additional duties to support DC operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC's, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it's operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree -
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
