Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for our distribution center. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing facility equipment, conveyors, and PLC-driven systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Candidates should have mechanical/electrical training, DC experience, and strong safety discipline. The position requires physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs and adherence to LOTO and PM standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a mechanical or electrical field.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage) and related equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Strong safety awareness and LOTO experience.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians.
• Work closely with outside vendors to complete projects within the DCs safely and on time.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and its operational needs

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC's, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and its operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
