Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to service and repair DC equipment, conveyors, and control systems. You will follow PM schedules, diagnose faults, and document activities to ensure asset reliability.

Required are 3–5 years in maintenance, an associate degree in a technical field, and hands-on proficiency with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and electrical drawings. LOTO and safety awareness are essential in this fast-paced distribution center.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance/Journeyman level role.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (e.g., Crown PM, Gage) and equipment.
• Able to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Good safety awareness and LOTO experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards with LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance and troubleshoot assets.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Support DC operational needs and take on additional duties as required.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
