Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Carrollton, GA facility. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment tied to conveyance systems, with emphasis on PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, and related building systems.

You'll work with the maintenance team to follow PM schedules, document work, train junior technicians, and coordinate with outside vendors to deliver safe, reliable operations in our distribution center.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical field or related technical certification.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, and PLC controls.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards and LOTO.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; document work in asset management system.
• Areas of expertise include PLCs, conveyors, 3-phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and related equipment.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance during troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Perform additional duties to support DC operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC's, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and its operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
