Job Description: Maintenance Technician at TJX Companies

Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoot PLC, Profibus control, and InControl Ware systems.
2. Install, maintain, and repair building and electrical systems, including 230/460-volt three-phase systems.
3. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including lift truck equipment.
4. Install, maintain, and repair conveyor systems.
5. Perform welding, including layout, fabrication, cutting, and welding of various metals in a maintenance environment.
6. Conduct preventative maintenance on all material handling equipment.
7. Perform general construction, maintenance, and repairs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, flooring, and roof repairs.
8. Maintain interior and exterior concrete and asphalt repairs, including snow and ice removal.
9. Maintain and repair dock equipment, including lights, doors, and levelers.
10. Perform safety inspections and record maintenance activities.
11. Assist in dismantling machines, replacing defective parts, motors, and adjusting feed mechanisms.
12. Change batteries on power equipment.
13. Clear clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures.
14. Requisition materials, tools, and supplies as needed.
15. Participate in special projects or duties as assigned.
