Job description

We are currently seeking to hire two Maintenance Mechanics for an industrial food manufacturing company. This role requires individuals with robust industrial maintenance experience, particularly in troubleshooting and repairing specific equipment used in food production.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as conveyors, photo eyes, proximity switches, silos, accumulators, HMI, and Fanuc robotics.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting of silos, roasters, conveyors, and accumulators, along with some robotics and facilities work.
• Conduct repairs on conveyor equipment, including photo eyes and switches.
• Follow a preventive maintenance schedule diligently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics accurately.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
• Experience with preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience with industrial equipment in a food manufacturing setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 4 : 45 PM - 5 : 00 AM).
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• An associate degree is desired but not required.
• Candidates with only educational qualifications will be considered.
• Must provide own basic set of tools, including a voltmeter (toolbox provided).

This is a temperature-controlled food manufacturing and packaging environment. As a GMP facility, a strict dress code is enforced, including hair nets, beard nets, and restrictions on exposed jewelry or piercings. It is a tobacco-free facility, and smocks are provided. The team consists of six mechanics and one controls technician per shift, along with a supervisor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.20 - $36.20 / hr.
