Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the reliability, performance, and upkeep of manufacturing and facility equipment. This individual will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while helping minimize downtime and ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility-related equipment.
  • Diagnose and replace motors, electrical components, sensors, controls, and related equipment.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and support production by minimizing downtime.
  • Complete equipment repairs and rebuilds ranging from routine maintenance to major overhauls.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and work order documentation.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and technical support resources to resolve equipment issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Assist with the maintenance and monitoring of facility utility systems as needed.
  • Communicate effectively during shift transitions and collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and safety teams.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or processing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power.
  • Experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing electric motors and related components.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform physical job requirements, including lifting, climbing, reaching, and equipment inspections.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, respond to emergency call-ins, and support various shifts as needed.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment mechanical aptitude assessment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting facility utility systems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience working with automated or high-speed production equipment.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS platforms such as SAP, Maximo, or similar maintenance systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, and continuous improvement programs.
