Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep packaging and processing equipment running, follow SOPs, and support production quality. This is a 1st shift role on-site at our facilities.

The ideal candidate will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and audits, while assisting supervision when needed. You will contribute to a safe, organized work environment and ensure compliance with food-manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• Mechanical & Electrical Experience- Required.
• Knowledge of VFDs, motors, electrical- Required.
• On Job Training
• Food Manufacturing Maintenance Experience- Preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Follow proper procedures and master maintenance schedule to keep equipment running and in top condition. Work safely and in an organized manner. Help with production, supervision and product quality when necessary.
• 1st Shift Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Follow procedures as set forth in the appropriate SOP, master maintenance schedule, downtime form and work order form.
• Monitor product quality with respect to equipment operation.
• Make sure all inspections are performed on time such as ladders, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, etc.
• Maintain equipment per the master maintenance schedule.
• Perform monthly glass and plastic audit.
• Help with supervision of production personnel when necessary.
• Keep work ear clean and organized.
