Job Description

Overview: Individual will perform preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs, and improvements on industrial equipment and facilities/building equipment in an automated foot processing facility while maintaining a high regard for employee safety, food quality, and machine efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring compliance with all safety rules and regulations (LOTO, fall protection, hot work, etc.)
2. Performing uptime and downtime inspections, lubrications, and preventative maintenance on weighers, baggers, conveyors, high-speed roll-up doors, etc.
3. Troubleshooting and correcting mechanical, electrical (120v, 220v single and three-phase, 480v), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within the facility
4. Identifying and executing improvements on equipment, documentation, work systems, and processes
5. Performing minor repairs such as replacing light ballasts, switches, plumbing, painting, and other facility repairs
6. Collaborating with employees across departments through face-to-face, telephone, email, and radio communications
7. Providing training and development to operators and maintenance personnel
8. Researching system and component specifications using manuals, schematics, online resources, and vendor communication
9. Dismantling and reassembling complex machinery efficiently and reliably
10. Operating fabrication equipment such as cutting and welding tools
11. Creating and modifying work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System and documenting work details
12. Researching parts, gathering quotes, and generating requests
13. Escalating technical, procedural, or personnel issues to supervisors as needed
14. Upholding moral integrity consistently
15. Performing other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or GED required
2. Technical degree and three or more years of related experience or training in a production/manufacturing environment preferred (or equivalent education and experience)
3. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present general business information
4. Effective English communication skills; bilingual preferred
5. Basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
6. Ability to apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situations is preferred
7. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts, and be available for emergency call-outs

Pay Range: $33.50-$39.00
