Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Mechanic 1 at Behr, you will be responsible for supporting equipment maintenance, troubleshooting basic mechanical and operational issues, and maintaining detailed records of tasks. You will learn to diagnose and repair pneumatic and process control systems.

Your daily tasks include routine maintenance, assisting with repairs, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized workspace. You’ll work with tools such as grinders, band saws, and drill presses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn and apply troubleshooting skills for mechanical, pneumatic, and process control systems; assist in diagnosing issues.

  • Maintain accurate logs and records of work performed.

  • Promote cleanliness and organization to support safety and efficiency.

  • Participate in team activities and foster a positive work environment.

  • Use shop tools effectively for maintenance and repairs.

Requirements of the Role:
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and SAP transactions.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and PC operations.

  • Ability to read and interpret repair instructions.

  • Ability to operate shop equipment safely.

  • Forklift operation skills are a plus (certification not required).

  • High school diploma or GED.
