Position Overview:

The individual will perform preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs, and improvements on industrial equipment and facilities in an automated foot processing plant, prioritizing employee safety, food quality, and machine efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations (LOTO, fall protection, hot work, etc.) for self and coworkers.
  2. Conduct uptime and downtime inspections, lubrication, and preventative maintenance on equipment such as weighers, baggers, conveyors, and high-speed doors.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within the facility.
  4. Identify and implement improvements in equipment, documentation, work systems, and processes.
  5. Perform minor facility repairs including lighting, plumbing, and painting.
  6. Collaborate with employees across departments via face-to-face, phone, email, and radio communication.
  7. Provide training and development for operators and maintenance staff.
  8. Research system specifications using manuals, schematics, online resources, and vendor communication.
  9. Dismantle and reassemble machinery efficiently and reliably.
  10. Operate fabrication equipment such as cutting and welding tools.
  11. Create and modify work orders in the Maintenance Management System and document work performed.
  12. Research parts, gather quotes, and generate purchase requests.
  13. Escalate technical or personnel issues to supervisors as needed.
  14. Maintain moral integrity and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or GED required.
  2. Technical degree and at least three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience.
  3. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and present business information.
  4. Effective communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  5. Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  6. Ability to apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions practically.
  7. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts, and be available for emergency calls.

Pay Range: $33.50 - $39.00
