Cox Automotive's Fleet Services is offering an educational program called FleeTec Academy, designed to train aspiring Diesel Technicians without the high costs of formal technical schools.
The program includes:
Pay details include starting at $13.08/hour plus a weekly stipend, increasing to $19/hour after 6 weeks, then $21/hour upon graduation. The role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs onsite at customer locations, not emergency roadside repairs.
Applicants should have a desire to start a career as a Diesel Technician, be willing to study hard, and be able to dedicate four weeks away from home. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Background checks, driving records, drug testing, and physical exams are required.
