FIRST SHIFT!!

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to line calls, installing and troubleshooting production equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and general maintenance on facilities, which includes two buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Respond to line calls promptly.
2. Install, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment.
3. Perform routine preventative maintenance and general maintenance on facilities.
4. Handle major breakdown repairs, including cleaning, painting, and building and grounds maintenance.
5. Conduct periodic inspections to determine repair needs.
6. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and operate equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts.
7. Maintain own tools.
8. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.

Job Competencies (Dimensions) and Skills Needed

• Knowledge of ISO and OSHA guidelines is a plus.
• Working knowledge of packaging and paint line equipment; parts washers and ovens are a plus.
• PLC troubleshooting skills are a plus.
• Welding (TIG and MIG) skills are a plus.
• Experience with mechanical punch presses and air compressors is a plus.
• Strong understanding of machine diagnostics.
• Certified to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Strong aptitude in electrical, electronics, hydraulics, mechanical, and pneumatics is desirable.
