An excellent career opportunity is available for a Maintenance Mechanic – Level 2, located at UOP's Research and Pilot Plant in Des Plaines, IL.

Job responsibilities include repair and service of pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings to support R&D Pilot Plant and laboratory facilities; working with all types of hand tools to troubleshoot, repair, perform preventative maintenance, and modify equipment. All work must be completed following Honeywell's safe work practices.

While based out of Des Plaines, IL, the candidate must be capable of supporting work at our McCook facility if required.

The annual base salary range is provided as a guideline; actual offers depend on experience, skills, and market considerations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work on elevated platforms, ladders, and lifts.

VALUED SKILLS:

• Mechanical experience.
• Welding and pipefitting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to support work at McCook, IL infrequently.
