We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Mechanic to join a premier, fast-paced flexible packaging and converting manufacturing facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing core production machinery to ensure maximum uptime, operational safety, and high-quality production standards.
salary: $65,000 - $65,312 per year

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Repair & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on converting and packaging equipment, including laminators, presses, manual lathes, mills, and packing machines.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventative maintenance routines to minimize downtime and extend machine life cycles.
- Fluid Power & Mechanical Systems: Inspect, diagnose, and rebuild hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and components (pumps, valves, cylinders, gearboxes, bearings).
- Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose line stoppages and mechanical failures to resume safe operations efficiently.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace, adhering to company Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1-3years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or packaging plant environment.
- Machining & Tooling: Hands‑on experience operating manual mills and lathes for fabrication or component repair.
- Fluid Power: working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and schematic reading.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy components, stand, bend, and maneuver around machinery throughout the shift.
The essential functions of this role include:
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 8 hours at one time
