Job summary

ALVEST in North Charleston, SC is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join Boeing Dreamlifter Operations. You will maintain and repair ground support equipment, ensuring safe and efficient aerospace logistics.

Ideal candidates have 1–4 years of service repair experience across hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems; ASE commitments; and ability to read diagrams. This on-site role includes paid training, safety emphasis, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of service repair experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills.
• 1-2 years performing repair and maintenance on Mobile Heavy Equipment.
• Associate degree or vocational certification/training may substitute for experience for entry level.
• Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• ASE Certification: minimum one within 6 months, three within 12 months.
• Average to advanced computer skills and ability to read repair manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old.
• Must pass Boeing’s Security Background Screening process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair ground support equipment supporting Boeing Dreamlifter Operations.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems to diagnose issues.
• Use repair manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics to guide work.
• Follow safety guidelines and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and document maintenance actions.

What You’ll Need

• 1-4 years of service repair experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills (PLC and HVAC experience preferred)
• 1-2 years performing repair and maintenance on Mobile Heavy Equipment
• Associate degree or vocational certification/training may substitute for experience for entry level
• Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills
• Knowledge of corrosion control and use of PPE
• Ability to use repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• ASE Certification: minimum one within 6 months, three within 12 months
• Average to advanced computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform physical requirements (lifting over 50 lbs, standing, bending, kneeling, etc.)
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Must possess necessary hand tools
• Must be able to read and speak English
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• No travel restrictions
• Must pass Boeing’s Security Background Screening process
