Job summary

Alvest Equipment Services (AES) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for Boeing Dreamlifter Operations at our North Charleston, SC site. You will handle mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, follow service bulletins, perform software updates, diagnostics, and ensure safe operation of equipment critical to Dreamlifter operations.

ASE certifications are required within the first year; position offers shifts with

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-4 years of service repair experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with PLC and HVAC experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years performing repair and maintenance on Mobile Heavy Equipment and related components.
• Experience with diesel-powered vehicles preferred or equivalent educational experience.
• Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair required.
• Knowledge of PPE and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and/or electrical discrepancies on various GSE systems and subsystems with a specialized focus on equipment utilized in Boeing Dreamlifter Operations.
• Inspect, repair, and rebuild/overhaul components ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
• Disassemble components, inspect, and reassemble to OEM specs with precision.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance and document actions in maintenance systems.
• Operate and maneuver GSE around Dreamlifter aircraft safely and effectively.
• Engage in continuous improvement for operational efficiency.
