Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Oklahoma seeks a heavy industrial maintenance technician to keep our production lines running safely and efficiently.

You will repair overhead cranes, conveyors, heaters, pumps, and hydraulics; perform predictive and preventive maintenance; collaborate with operations and maintain work orders.

Requires 2–4+ years in heavy industrial maintenance and strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills; high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in heavy industrial maintenance.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with motors, drives, PLC basics, and 480V systems.
• Hydraulics and mechanical systems knowledge.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.
• Ability to work in high heat, dusty, zinc-exposure environments.
• Self-sufficient and able to prioritize during downtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment including overhead cranes, conveyors, heaters, pumps, and hydraulics.
• Troubleshoot quickly to minimize downtime on a continuous process line.
• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
• Support rapid breakdown recovery and identify root causes.
• Work directly with operations during production.
• Maintain work orders, parts tracking, and failure documentation.
• Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Provide fabrication and welding support as needed.
