Job summary

Aerotek is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to keep our food & beverage production equipment running safely and efficiently in Buffalo, NY. This contract-to-hire role offers stability, growth, and a collaborative team environment.

Shifts available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and support safety and quality standards in a modern facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production, packaging, filling, and conveyor equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure equipment meets food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Complete maintenance work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility projects.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Sanitation teams.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, GMP, and food safety requirements.

About the Role

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED
• Maintenance experience in manufacturing, food production, beverage production, or industrial environments
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree, trade certification, or apprenticeship training
• Experience in food, beverage, dairy, bakery, pharmaceutical, or CPG manufacturing
• PLC troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and sanitation standards
• CMMS experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
