Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Material Handler to support mill operations at Hobart, IN. You will pull orders from inventory, deliver materials, stage finished goods, and keep production flowing. Responsibilities include operating PITs, loading/unloading, stacking, inventory scanning, and packaging.

Preference for side-loader experience and long product handling. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of material handling experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1 year material handling experience in industrial setting.
• Forklift experience required; side-loader preferred.
• Experience handling long products and bundles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), including large format Combi-Lifts.
• Load and unload materials and products.
• Move materials to and from docks, trucks, storage and manufacturing areas.
• Stack skids and dispose of scrap; manage inventory with scan guns.
• Safely package or repackage goods and support production lines.
• Within 3 months, demonstrate PIT inspection and safe loading/unloading of semi trucks.
