Job summary

Tenneco Inc. seeks a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer to lead maintenance for facilities and equipment. You will manage engineers and interns, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, compliant maintenance aligned with quality standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, coordinating with contractors, and responding to plant emergencies while applying PLC troubleshooting and testing expertise to maintain production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electromechanical engineering.
• 5+ years as Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineer or equivalent in maintenance leadership.
• 7 years for alternate requirements (Maintenance leadership).
• 2 years of PLC design, wiring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance staff including Engineers and interns.
• Lead Continuous Improvement and preventive maintenance programs.
• Assist in development of plant operating and capital budgets.
• Ensure maintenance procedures comply with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and internal teams and respond to plant emergencies.
