Job summary

Tenneco is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure continuous production in our Alabama plant. The role requires maintenance, repair, and modification of mechanical systems, plus PLC troubleshooting and electrical distribution knowledge.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in maintenance, able to read drawings and schematics, with welding and fabrication skills. Compliance with safety and environmental standards is essential to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years experience in maintenance.
• Experience in design, wiring, and troubleshooting of PLCs.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, prints, technical manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all machinery involved in production.
• Repair, design, adjust, or modify mechanical equipment or structures as needed to carry on daily operation; write and troubleshoot PLC programs.
• Keep production in operation and maintain the rest of the plant structure.
• Responsible for good housekeeping of work area and equipment.
• Comply with safety, environmental and ISO 14001 standards; report any non-conformances.
