Job summary

The Bakery Co is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead engineering efforts ensuring quality, efficiency, safety, and financial goals are achieved. You will manage resources, inventory, spare parts, and vendor relationships while directing capital and non-capital projects to keep the plant reliable and within budget.

You will build and develop a high-performing team of Supervisors, Leads, Clerks, and Technicians, ensuring strict adherence to food processing safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with maintenance, as well as people management.
• Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with safety procedures for a vast variety of equipment and machines

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance to meet quality, efficiency, safety and financial goals as directed by Plant Manager.
• Manage resources to meet production goals at budgeted cost.
• Maintain and manage inventory to ensure cost-effective equipment uptime.
• Identify required spare parts and min/max levels for inventory.
• Liaise with outside vendors and contractors; act as main point of contact.
• Report budget attainment and contributing factors to management.
• Develop capital projects to meet company goals and ensure reliability of plant operations.
• Lead both capital and non-capital projects to meet objectives on budget and on time.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to keep the department on track to meet plant goals.
• Maintain accurate reporting for management review.
• Implement corrective actions for downtime and waste events.
• Improve preventive maintenance processes within our PM software.
• Monitor equipment to assess PM program effectiveness.
