Preferred Apartment Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations, coordinate contractors, and ensure the property remains functional and inviting for residents. You will lead a maintenance team, prioritize work orders, and ensure preventative maintenance is performed across systems and common areas.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on repair experience (apartment maintenance preferred) and 1-2 years of supervisory responsibility.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation; Type II or Universal refrigeration certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Capable of physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and moving heavy appliances.
• Experience moving heavy appliances (75-300+ lbs) across units and stairs.
• In-unit upgrades such as installing lighting or ceiling fans.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily maintenance operations by prioritizing work orders and managing repairs.
• Maintains property functionality through shop management, inventory control, and routine life-safety inspections.
• Leads and supports maintenance staff, delegates requests, and assists with QA inspections.
• Coordinates contractor work, monitors performance, and ensures budget alignment.
• Delivers strong resident service through effective communication and issue resolution.
• Handles supplemental property tasks including light cleaning and amenity upkeep.
