Job summary
Wine Valley Inn in Solvang seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to maintain building systems and oversee staff across guest rooms, public areas, and service areas. This hands-on role requires operating a range of tools and coordinating with the General Manager on daily tasks and emergencies.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership, extensive maintenance knowledge (carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, boilers, sprinklers), and the ability to manage safety, records, and schedules.
Qualifications
- Must have strong leadership, coaching and training skills.
- Ability to supervise maintenance staff and coordinate daily operations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel and maintenance software (GuestEQ, ADP).
- Valid driver’s license with clean record; willingness to obtain CPO within 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Supervise, schedule, train, and coach maintenance staff.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Coordinate with General Manager on projects and life-safety compliance.
- Maintain records for building systems, inspections, and equipment.
