Job summary

Hotel Yountville, a luxury boutique property in Napa Valley, seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to manage central systems and ensure guest comfort.

You will operate and service HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment; perform preventive maintenance; and troubleshoot issues promptly to uphold safety and reliability.

A background in building construction and ability to read blueprints, plus strong communication, are required.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building work.
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification or apprenticeship; state licensure where required.
• Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely operate central HVAC equipment and mechanical equipment using sound engineering practices and specified procedures.
• Repair and maintain food production and related kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, ice machines and refrigeration systems, boilers and plumbing systems and all electrical and natural gas distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic problems and repair them quickly and economically.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an ongoing basis.
