Job summary

Sustainable Comfort Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead field maintenance across a portfolio of properties in various development stages and ongoing operations.

You will coordinate routine upkeep, plan improvements for owners, and manage crises with a team of technicians and subcontractors. You will work with the Property Manager to respond to tenant concerns and ensure portfolios stay well-maintained, within budget, and aligned with owner goals.

Qualifications

• Language: ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and respond to inquiries.
• Computer Skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools.
• Physical and field experience: background in building trades, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry.
• Licenses: OSHA 10-Hour card within 90 days and valid MA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Interpret tenant requests by assessing urgency and impact.
• Document maintenance operations and policies; ensure cost-effective execution.
• supervise field staff and sub-contractors to meet budgeted expenses.
• Collaborate with Property Manager to address owner and tenant concerns.
• Develop move-in/move-out inspections and proactive property checks.
• Maintain positive relationships with owners and stakeholders.
• Communicate progress, delays, or changes to scope with all parties.
