Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. in Missouri seeks a Maintenance Manager to ensure safe, efficient operation of a modern food processing facility.

You will lead a maintenance team, drive TPM, oversee repairs, and coordinate with engineering on improvements. Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling preventive maintenance, training staff, overseeing ammonia safety, and ensuring compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, EPA, and DEQ.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong Lean/Kaizen and TPM experience.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Create a safety-first environment and address safety issues in the plant.
• Supervise and develop maintenance staff with training and role clarity.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
• Coordinate day-to-day maintenance operations and on-call support.
• Set project timelines, priorities, and deliverables to meet facility needs.
• Develop KPI metrics and report results to senior management.
• Oversee budgeting, inventory, and parts purchasing for maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering on plant projects and modifications.
• Maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, OHSA, EPA, DEQ and related regs.
