Job summary

FPC of Savannah is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at our industrial manufacturing facility. You will drive equipment reliability, oversee daily maintenance activities, and sustain a strong leadership presence on the production floor.

The role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and collaboration with Operations to maximize uptime. Ideal candidate has 5+ years in maintenance leadership, a technical degree, and a proven track record in developing teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop maintenance teams.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to hold employees accountable while fostering engagement and professional growth.
• Experience with rotating equipment, centrifugal pumps, fans, vacuum pumps, bearings, and other industrial mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
• Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel to improve technical capability, performance, and accountability.
• Drive labor utilization, maintenance execution, and overall department effectiveness.
• Prioritize maintenance activities and provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor, providing leadership and guidance to the maintenance team.
• Foster a culture of safety, reliability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
• Partner with Operations and other departments to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
