Job summary

Godshall & Godshall Personnel Consultants, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager for our Portage, WI facility to lead plant maintenance, improve asset reliability, and develop a high-performing team.

This role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, implementing preventive and predictive programs via CMMS, mentoring staff, and driving continuous improvement through Kaizen and asset optimization. You will collaborate with engineering, production, and business teams to support growth,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field.
• 5+ years maintenance leadership in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar process manufacturing environment.
• Proven success leading maintenance teams and developing strategies to improve reliability and uptime.
• Experience with preventive maintenance planning, reliability programs, and CMMS.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Ability to prioritize resources, manage multiple projects, and drive results in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of process equipment, industrial systems, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting equipment reliability analysis and implementing long-term improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting, data historian systems, CAD software, and cGMP environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations to maximize equipment uptime and support production goals.
• Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs using CMMS and reliability best practices.
• Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance personnel; drive accountability.
• Champion continuous improvement, Kaizen, and asset optimization projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and business teams to support growth and new product initiatives.
• Develop maintenance strategies for existing and new equipment.
• Coordinate contractors, projects, budgets, and timelines for successful execution.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and operating procedures.
• Maintain plant drawings, equipment records, P&IDs, and maintenance documentation.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and implement long-term reliability improvements.
• Maintain visible leadership on the plant floor to address safety and operational challenges.

• To be a champion in this role, you will need:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
• 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience within a chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar process manufacturing environment.
• Proven success leading maintenance teams and developing maintenance strategies that improve reliability and uptime.
