Job summary

The Maize USD 266 district is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure district facilities and grounds are well maintained, safe, and compliant with district standards. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, emergency response, and coordinating repair work with the maintenance staff.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior maintenance or managerial experience, plus knowledge of building systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Director of Maintenance with day-to-day maintenance functions.
• Perform routine maintenance and daily inspection of equipment.
• Support Director of Maintenance with implementation of district procedures.
• Help supervise and support maintenance repair technicians in the field.
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Keep maintenance records and report on activities.
• Perform repairs and service on kitchen equipment.
• Assist with snow removal as necessary.
• Respond to facility emergencies as needed, on call, including after hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure a well-maintained, safe environment.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent.

Special Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment. Ability to interact in a positive manner with others. Able to work in a busy environment with many disruptions.

Experience: Previous experience in maintenance and/or managerial role.

• Environment: Primarily indoors but subject to extreme conditions.
• Mental Demands: Maintain focus, decision making, remain composed under pressure.
• Attendance: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality as required by the Board of Education policies and regulations.
