Job summary

Maize USD 266 is seeking a Fleet/PM Grounds Mechanic non-certified to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and documentation for district equipment. The role covers grounds machinery, irrigation systems, and snow equipment, with emphasis on safety and timely issue resolution.

The position involves maintaining tools, following procedures, and collaborating with district staff to ensure well-kept, safe facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Good communication skills are needed.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and daily inspection of equipment.
• Follow all maintenance procedures and complete documentation.
• Complete maintenance records and submit as required.
• Analyze and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Follow district policies and safety regulations.
• Assist with snow removal as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance and daily inspections on grounds equipment such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
• Perform maintenance repairs on snow equipment.
• Inspect irrigated areas to ensure adequate watering and prevent waste.
• Install, adjust, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for lawns and plantings.
• Maintain own hand tools for use.

• irrigaon systems to
• ensure all lawns/vegetaon are watered.
• Assist with determining irrigaon maintenance procedures and budget to
• ensure smooth
• operaon of the irrigaon area.
